Start a Hobby
What are you naturally interested in? What are you good at? How do you like to spend the hours? Almost everybody has an interest or a hobby that makes life more exciting. During September, celebrate your sobriety by taking up a hobby. Do something that you are already naturally interested in. Or, try something that is outside of your comfort zone. Who knows? Knowledge is power. The more you learn, the more confident you become. If you have always wanted to further your education, now is the time to enroll in an online or in-class course. You may want to finish that degree or start on a new course that can lead to a career down the road. Empower yourself in September and take a class that can set your life in a new direction.
Get to Know Your City
When it comes to sober activities, there are lots to do in the Toledo, Ohio area. Take a trip to the zoo, the museum of art, or the many parks throughout the city. Try to visit attractions or areas that you have never been to. Take friends and family and make it a social outing. You can fill the hours getting to know your city, its culture, and the people in it.
